About us
Oku is an independent and family-run bookstore and art gallery located in Kırklareli's historic Yayla Square. It is the meeting point of writers, readers and art lovers.
"Read"(Oku), named after the first commandment, is more than a bookstore and an art gallery, it is an attitude. Each chapter is thought through and designed to express us like chapters of a book. It plans book events, author meetings, exhibitions, movie screenings and more on its journey to fill a big void in Kırklareli. Efforts are being made to add the publisher branch as soon as possible.
We are very happy to have friends and comrades who met books and art at Oku, and we are proud to take on a promotion responsibility.

One of the most beautiful features of Oku is that all the books and the works to be exhibited are chosen by us for a reason, so we bring out the books that are waiting for their covers to be opened next to the mainstream publishing houses/artists/books. We are the family behind Oku, which feels obliged to produce constantly, but we want our artistic creations to tell us rather than explaining ourselves.
